“It's good to be alone,” murmured Chuck.
Dave put some music on, then sank into the sofa next to him with a sigh. “Yes, it's peaceful again.”
Chuck moved a bit closer to him and slid a comforting arm around his body. He gently guided Dave's head down to his own shoulder and dropped a kiss on his forehead. “You look tired,” he whispered. “Just lean on me and rest.”
Dave nuzzled up.
It's been the year from hell, Chuck thought. Dave very nearly died. Dear God, I love him so much, please let 2015 be a better year.
